Global Midwest Alliance, founder of Midwest Clean Tech and the Private Sector Liaison Office to the World Bank Group, invites you to the second program in the 2013 Innovation, Growth and Globalization Industry Program Series. Throughout the year, this series will highlight industry expertise, innovation and technology, and globalization opportunities across growth-oriented industry sectors.

Smart Grid and technologies focused on metering, analysis and storage are revolutionizing the U.S. energy sector. Natural gas is booming. Wind and solar power options continue to expand, while consumer vehicle alternatives and fleet fueling options are gaining traction. There is a growing demand for the energy expertise found in the U.S. as countries around the world experience an ever-increasing need for traditional and alternative energy solutions.

This program will focus on the current developments in the energy sector, including traditional and renewable sources. Innovations and technologies offering opportunities for future growth -- from both large corporates and active entrepreneurs -- will be highlighted, along with global areas of growth and opportunity, in both projects in emerging markets and potential for collaboration here at home. Midwest companies will learn how to apply expertise in multiple sub-sectors of the energy industry, and increase their global participation via partnerships with fellow U.S. firms.

Keynote presenter, Sunil (Sonny) Garg, Chief Information & Innovation Officer at Exelon Corporation will provide an expert overview on "U.S. Innovation for the New Energy Age."  Mr. Garg oversees all aspects of information technology for Exelon, the leading U.S.energy provider, and its operating companies. The innovation panel will focus on exciting innovations and policy developments across the energy subsectors. During the global panel, representatives doing business in global markets will discuss opportunities, investment projects and policy reforms in developing countries, as well as provide cases studies.

Program attendees will include energy, innovation, finance and business leaders, World Bank Private Sector Liaison Office clients and prospects, development and international partners and organizations, and the broader energy community. Participants will learn about specific energy initiatives and innovation, and projects in developing nations through consulting, funding, and private partnerships.

Seats are limited. Please register on or before May 13, 2013.
