GLOBAL MIDWEST ALLIANCE TO HOST MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY PROGRAM
Program Will Focus on the Profitable and Timely Production of Small Quantities
Global Midwest Alliance, a business-led, region-wide, not-for-profit education organization dedicated to transforming the Midwest into an internationally-recognized leader in innovation and business growth, is hosting its annual upcoming manufacturing industry program, The Production of One, on November 12 in Rosemont, Illinois. The program will be hosted by Wintrust Commercial Bank and is sponsored by Wipfli, the Association for Manufacturing Technology and the Technology Manufacturing Association.
Today's industrial processing is increasingly moving toward greater customization and flexibility of smaller lot sizes. Response to this is difficult for the most progressive company but especially daunting for mainstream production facilities. So how can manufacturers respond to the challenge? How do you process order quantities as small as one both timely and profitably?
Global Midwest Alliance and its sponsors will host an interactive panel discussion with industry experts from hardware, software, digital, AI, IoT and process innovation fields to explore and discuss the possibilities. This program features two sessions discussing the challenges manufacturers are facing when processing order quantities as small as one both timely and profitably. The first session will be moderator led, and the second session will be entirely audience led with questions posed to the panel. This format will allow time to inspire the audience for specific questions creating an opportunity for the audience to gain as much information as possible from the panel.
